The inspiration for this quilt is the Della Robbia sculpture at Palmer Episcopal Church. For years, this sculpture has been above the baptismal font and what better way to frame it than with a stamp print of Palmer’s front entrance.
The sculpture sketch and the church’s façade are printed on fabric. The eight-petal flowers were created with Kaleidoscope computer program. Free machine quilted and embellished with seed and bugle beads. Hand written calligraphy on “Papel Amate”. The entire quilt is framed with yarn crocheted chain
