This art quilt is a replica of a paper collage I made during an Art as a Prayer workshop. That same day happened to be the death of Pope John Paul II. The inspiration to make the collage into a quilt was Easter Sunday 2009 and the funeral service of my husband's uncle Rudy. During the service I learned the meaning of the Greek word "Zoë" (life) and after doing some research I came across the word "aionios" (everlasting). Free machine quilted and embellished with yarn, seed and bugle beads.
