Art is the work of a person, a human being, who is free to take into himself what he sees outside and from his free center put his human stamp on it. (Sister Corita)
Classical music has been part of my entire life. The inspiration for my art quilts has come from a music piece by composers like Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Andrew Lloyd Webber, or from a simple hymn melody and its words. European cathedrals, as well as those in Mexico and the United States, their stained glass windows, icons, and altars are the sparkles that poke my imagination and the finished art piece is my offering to God.
Making art quilts allows me to express my artistic self by incorporating all the artistic skills I love to do: quilting, knitting, calligraphy, beading, and painting.
